About The Show
Set in the near future, the story is structured around the conflict between father and son, addressing the subjects of human cloning, identity and nature versus nurture.
Jonathan Munby (The White Devil) returns to the Chocolate Factory to direct father and son duo Timothy West (Twelve Angry Men, The Birthday Party, King Lear) and Samuel West (Enron, Betrayal, Hamlet) in A Number. Written by the multi-award winning playwright Caryl Churchill, the play debuted at the Royal Court in 2002, winning the Evening Standard Award for Best Play. This production is based on the critically acclaimed production which was presented at Sheffield Theatres in 2006.
