Communicating Doors won Ayckbourn the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Best West End Play Award and the prestigious Molière Award in France. It was also nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Comedy.
Lindsay Posner returns to the Chocolate Factory having previously directed Abigail’s Party. In the West End he currently has Harvey at the Theatre Royal Haymarket and Hay Fever coming to the Duke of York’s.
CAST INCLUDES:
David Bamber returns to the Chocolate Factory where he previously appeared in Travels With My Aunt. He is currently appearing in the West End production of Harvey at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket.
Lucy Briggs-Owen recently originated the lead role of Viola in Shakespeare in Love at the Noel Coward Theatre.
Matthew Cottle is best known for his portrayal of Martin in the cult BBC sitcom Game On. More recently he appeared in Ayckbourn’s A Small Family Business at the National Theatre.
Robert Portal appeared in the feature films Mr Turner and My Week with Marilyn.
Imogen Stubbs appeared in the award-winning film Sense and Sensibility. More recently she starred in Strangers on a Train at the Gielgud Theatre.
Rachel Tucker made her Broadway debut last year in Sting’s new musical The Last Ship. She also starred as Elphaba in Wicked at the Apollo Victoria.
